She was just waiting for Pierce Brosnan to agree to be the male lead, she said! I had to speak in English for my part, which was hard – in another language your acting can become soft if you don’t give it some extra oomph. Pierce was fantastic; when working you forget about fame but walking beside him and seeing people’s reactions made me realise what a huge star he is. He was very down to earth and generous, though, which is important in an industry where people’s egos can easily run away with them.
